— Dryer Vent Cleaning · Fire Prevention
Clogged dryer vents are a leading cause of house fires. We clear the whole run.
The U.S. Fire Administration reports nearly 3,000 home clothes-dryer fires every year, most caused by lint accumulation in the vent line. If your dryer takes two cycles to dry a load, runs hot, or smells, the vent is the first thing to check — and the right answer is to clean the full run, exterior to appliance.

to watch for
Your dryer is telling you something.
Most homeowners notice dryer vent problems long before they think to do anything about it. Then one day, the laundry room is too hot, or the cycle finishes and the clothes are still damp, or — worst case — there’s smoke.
If any of these match your situation, schedule a cleaning. We’ll inspect the full vent run, clear what’s there, and tell you whether the vent itself needs repair or replacement.
Common warning signs
- Laundry takes two full cycles to dry — especially towels and jeans
- The dryer body is hot to the touch during a cycle
- The laundry room is humid or hot after the dryer runs
- You can smell a burning or hot-lint odor
- The exterior vent flap doesn’t open during a cycle, or has visible lint stuck to it
- It’s been more than a year since the vent was professionally cleaned
- You have a long vent run (over 25 feet, or with multiple elbows)
What we clean
Pulling the lint trap and vacuuming the lint screen housing isn’t cleaning the vent. The vent is everything from the appliance’s exhaust port, through the wall, through any elbows or transitions, to the exterior termination. We clean every foot of it with a rotary brush system designed for the diameter and material of your specific vent.
— What you should know
The vent material matters as much as the cleaning.
If your dryer vent is the white plastic flexible duct, it’s a fire hazard regardless of how often you clean it. Building codes require rigid or semi-rigid metal duct for a reason. We’ll tell you what you have, and if it should be replaced.
We also check the exterior termination. The flap should open easily, close fully, and have no visible lint buildup behind it. A blocked termination is the single most common cause of severe dryer vent problems.
